Looking back on that crazy day :
- I am back from berlin after one tube ride, one plane, one low cost (not) bus ride by fear of the chaos and one perfectly normal tube ride. Actually my whole day transport by tube were not to the least bit rendered impossible by the tube strike. I totally agree with what stornisse wrote on that subject. That's the first time I hear of a strike in England and I'm disappointed it's always the union that are being attacked. Maybe they (the papers) should learn about something called solidarity. What working conditions would they find acceptable so that a strike can occur ? 60 hours per week at 1 pound per hour ? Or would they still criticize the disruptance ? For pete's sake, the tube is so hectic on a regular basis anyway that you could barely see the difference with the usual "planned engineering works" !
- I have finished my applications thanks to someone very special
- I have started volleyball again, my knee was ok-ish (I am thinking of a knee plan, inspired by a oh so sweet player in my club that gave me good tips.) and we have new promising players. We also for the time being have lost one of our setters without having gained one which is a bit problematic but it's hard to judge from the first training. The first training was imho very promisingin term of seriousness and effort and of skills. Plus there is a new french guy, until december only though.
- I have had some drama at volleyball (finally, it means the year really started). Basically when I arrived I said hi to a guy that promoted from my division to the division 1, then I saw next to him a guy that was in that division for a certain time. I said hi to him to, then something strange happened : he looked at me for 2 seconds then turned his head away, then didn't react when I yelled "well, HIIIII" (dramaaaaa). I turned back to see if I had dreamed what just happened and the guy from my division looked at me with a look that said "oh well". Then I insulted him in French on my way to my court, that he probably didn't understand (but my friend yes, cause he speaks french) \o/. Ah I really missed some of those div 1 guys. private question : can you guess who it was ?
- Luckily div1 and premier are also full of nice people that I was happy to meet again. In the last 10 minutes of their training they even let me in, but just in defense. I can't help but feel I screwed up their training altough I was getting it (ish) in the end. I really would like to train in defense like that on a regular basis but I guess it's not going to be possible. I don't know what I should do to train on that, maybe try to ask the uni team if i can train with them as a libero. I really think that's the way to go (libero). A way that looks a bit blocked because the level I would need to have to train with a team that would use a libero I don't think I can reach it with a team that does not. Unless div 1 do me a favour which they have no reason to. Gah.
I'm kind of happy right now. But sad also. But mostly happy (i think).
(and I'm hungry. Just thought you should know)

Help me find a new nickname that would be as ridiculous as Poupinette but wouldn't be already taken. The most ridiculous answer will be chosen as my new nickname on this blog.

I ahve been assigned to division 2 again. 3 people go up. Next year we will be 25 people in fireball, 25 people in thunderball all training on the same court. On top of that, in thunderball will be a lot of newly promoted beginners, meaning almost impossible practice. That's just a big pile of shit soaked in urine.
Last year, we were very close to win the league. This year, we end up with more people coming from beginners level, and we lose 3 of our best players (i don't say our 3 best players because I believe I am one of them, despite the coach decision), and among them our setter. Like division 1 needs another setter and we need to lose one !!
The way it seems to be right now (3 guys from my team going up and still only one slot for both team), I'm not coming back next year.
(comments by people that have no idea what I am talking about will be deleted, or at best, ignored)

I am not a red hair, I'm actually dark hair and quite a lot so. Don't be fooled by the pic on the right. Yes it is me, but there is no such thing as natural brick red hair.

Because the graphs are shiny and the content is good. But especially since it says I have more visits than PhpMyVisits who still thinks my incredible blog could have less than 100 unique visitors a day. I mean, wake up and smell the coffee.
